Welcome to March!
With the weather starting to turn and St. Patrick's Day on the way, this month's menu is full of Irish goodies.
I'm offering Irish Soda Bread, a traditional Irish bread that uses baking soda rather than yeast to rise. My version has the usual rustic flavors, couple with sweet currants and caraway seeds.
My Irish scones are light and buttery with the richness of added caraway seeds, the sweetness of currants and a little zest of orange. It's an amazing flavor combination that's become a favorite of mine.
The Irish cream cheese frosted cinnamon rolls are sure to be a favorite. Combining a traditional cinnamon roll and cream cheese frosting infused with Irish Cream flavoring. They're rich and full of flavor.
My marbled rye bread combines a light and a dark rye together creating something that's not only tasty, but beautiful to look at. The earthy, slightly sweet flavor of the bread makes it perfect for sandwiches.
Last but definitely not least, I couldn't do a March menu in Minnesota without including at least one maple syrup item. My maple blueberry scones fit the bill perfectly. This whole wheat scone combines sweet maple syrup with juicy blueberries and is finished off with a maple glaze. Perfect for breakfast or an afternoon cup of tea.
